Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an Assistant Financial Manager at CJ in Delmas. You will be required to assist and provide functional support to the warehouse’s financial accounting department.. Ensure controls are in place across various finance departments.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric
BCom Accounting Degree or relevant qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance environment

Advantageous:

System experience with SAP
Management experience

Job Specification

Assist Financial Manager in planning and performing financial operations.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Extract and consolidate financial data from several sources such as expenses incurred in the month, day, etc.
Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities.
Assist in analysing disputes, forecasting cash and reporting.
Review and audit financial reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.
Forecast cash payments and anticipate challenges arising from limited cash flow.
Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Provide trend analysis and business metrics to advise on business decisions and profitability.
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
Arrange financial audits and reviews as required.
Develop and update accounting, finance, and management policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance in terms of all the financial requirements (SARS, Companies Act etc.)
Assist and take part in audit processes with internal and external auditors.
Assist in reviewing vendor agreements, resolve banking issues, apply for credit limit increases, analyse disputed claims etc.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise with suppliers with respect to the management of account queries.
Implement department strategy by setting annual objectives for the team and tracking progress.
Facilitate the creation of accountable, full-service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders through effective inspirational leadership.
Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, motivating and managing them in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management.
