Job description

As a Contract Administrator in the Construction team, you will be responsible supporting the Contract Manager and Project Managers during pre-construction/construction phases to final handover of project to the Operations team.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeDuring preconstruction and construction phase, the Contract Administrator will work on the projects and coordinate with the construction contractors.

Providing administrative support to the Contracts Manager
Support the construction process administratively so as to comply with all contractual obligations.
Compiling and completion of monthly payment runs.
Ensure by doing monthly check-up that documents are correctly uploaded and stored in relation to payments.
Monitor correspondence and contracts throughout the projects ensuring compliance and timeous submission of reports, notices etc.
Maintaining registers to log correspondence
Support cost estimating, budget preparation, reporting and control activities
Liaise and cooperate with external parties – banks, independent engineers, contractors, government bodies etc.
Drafting of initial letters to and from the Project Company

Education and Experience

Relevant Degree in Project management, Cost Engineering, Contract Management or related Bachelor’s Degree with no more than 2 years of project experience,
Excellent written and oral communications skills

Location

The position will be based in South Africa in Mainstream’s Cape Town Office with intermittent travel to project sites.
