Foundry Technician: Intern – Cape Town

Job Description

To provide support to the Technical Account Consultant.
Helping with the calibration of sand mixers.
Supporting the lab at the customer site on sand and resin performance testing.
Conducting laboratory work at Umbongitwini site.
Results reporting.
Facilitating routine sand testing and projects between customer, Umbongitwini and Chloorkop laboratories.
Helping with trouble shooting at the foundry floor.
Stock monitoring and liaising with the stores and purchasing departments.
Ensure compliance to safety by living the Zero Harm philosophy of AECI.

Qualifications ’ Experience

Grade 12.
Undergrad qualification in Physical Metallurgy
An individual seeking ECSA Engineering Competency assessment.
Preferably an individual who resides in Cape Town and surrounding areas.
