Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field
8-10 Years managing a team or department
Experience managing day-to-day operations
Experience with business process improvement and change management
Experience in Business Intelligence and building out KPIs
Fintech and/or scale-up experience
Experience developing a team – ideally with a rapidly growing team and have played a key part in helping grow a company and its operating model
Experience running your own business a bonus

The successful Head Of Business Operations requires the following core competencies.

The ability to develop and set team standards for gathering requirements, mapping business processes and designing process improvements in a clear, actionable format that can be used to communicate with the team and drive operational effectiveness.

Project Management

The ability to manage and coordinate cross-collaboratively with the operations teams (CX, Sales, Credit, etc.) to iteratively and quickly deliver business improvements (process, tools, workforce,etc.) that accomplish pre-defined goals.

Quality Assurance

The ability to set and maintain quality standards to prioritize and resolve business process quality issues across teams, platforms and vendors.

Fluency with data

The ability to use data strategically to generate actionable insights, to leverage those insights in your team to achieve goals and to connect those quantified goals to meaningful outcomes for the business.

Business Outcome Ownership

The ability to drive meaningful outcomes for the business by connecting business processes and goals to the strategic objectives of the operations teams and the company overall.

Strategic Planning

The ability to define an overall operations vision that connects to the strategy for the company. The ability to define a clear roadmap of highly prioritized business processes and initiatives that deliver against that vision.

Stakeholder Management

The ability to proactively identify stakeholders impacted by the Business Operations area of ownership and to work with those stakeholders to factor their requirements into operations decisions.

Managing Up

The ability to leverage senior managers and executives in the organization to help achieve goals, deliver meaningful business outcomes, and positively influence the strategic direction of the Business Operations team’s work.
