Qualifications
Grade 12 certificate
National Diploma or Degree in Labour Relations/Human Resource Management/Labour Law
A relevant postgraduate qualification in Labour Law/LLB will be advantageous
Experience
Minimum three (3) years’ employee relations experience preferably in a mining environment:
Extensive knowledge of BCEA, LRA and other legislation regulating particulars of employment
Experience and proven track record at the CCMA
Strong litigation and case law background
Key performance areas
As our HR Business Partner (ER) some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Research developments within the employee relations environment and provide input to the employee relations policy
Provide advice with regard to clarification of company policies, as well as disciplinary action procedures
Support the ER Manager with conducting research into the latest trends and Codes of Practice (COP’s) for Labour Relations
Assist with the facilitation of training on basic labour relations to boost leadership effectiveness
Provide the required ER support to the HR team in the facilitation of engagement between line management and employees
Provide administrative support in the development of assessment metrics to be used for tracking the effectiveness of initiatives implemented by the Employee Relations function
Collate and prepare documentation needed for litigation processes and provide input to ongoing cases
Provide high level employee advice that can contribute to increased employee engagement
Maintain good working relationship with organised labour
Attend CCMA cases
Additional requirements
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word and Power Point)
Medical Certificate of Fitness
