ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the Talent Acquisition Lead is the first point of contact for Africa recruitment activities. This position assists in providing front line, daily operational leadership to the Talent Acquisition (TA) team as well as assisting in executing and driving recruitment strategy to local customer groups.

Other key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Providing location reporting on team and recruitment metrics on a weekly/monthly basis
Providing expertise and advice to the business relating to proactive TA strategies
Recruitment of senior appointments in the region
Partnering with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice relating to recruitment and best practice.

ABOUT YOU

Senior contenders will possess a degree in HR, Organisational Psychology or Business Administration along with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in recruitment including 1 year in a leadership capacity.

You will have experience in:

Partnering with senior leaders to translate business strategy/action
Managing a small team and working with remote sites
Internal consulting, business partnership and change management
Liaising with diverse and complex stakeholder groups at all levels of an organisation
Working with 3rd party suppliers in support of strategic people initiatives
Implementing new recruitment processes in consultation with South32’s HR function
Experience in the resources industry is highly desirable
SAP and SuccessFactors recruitment is desirable.
