Job description

Our client a leader within the financial services space and specifically the wealth management environment is in search of a skilled individual. This person will need to have managed a team and been successful within the deceased estates environment. This role will have various levels of direct reports and report directly to the regional manager. 
Main Function:
To manage the estates department and monitor the end-to-end administration process of deceased estates and is aligned to the specific requirements of the group’s strategy and vision, reference guide, legislation, values and ethics within the group.
Execution will align with:

Ensuring that the process complies with internal and external regulatory frameworks
Contributing to efficient and effective systems and processes
Enhancing the customer service experience
Enabling a process which allows the effective delivery to shareholders in line with the strategy

Key Outputs:
Estate Process

Ensure that the end to end process is viable and cost effective to the business and effective.

Notification and Allocation

Understanding of new estates and analysis of such to be able to pass them over with the correct information and with the correct umbrella cover

Interview and Reporting

Timeously able to interview and report on estate files while ensuring the quality and compliance of the files

Follow Ups

Weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and progress assessments to ensure effective management of the area

Liquidation and Distribution Account

Sign off on the end to end of these accounts making sure compliance and quality is satisfactory

Archive

Oversight and signoff of these statements

Human Resource Management

Manage the team and the process in order to allow for 100% productivity

Financial Management

Managing the budget and targets for the area

Operations Management

Manage productivity, relationships, teams and targets

 Experience:

LLB or BCom Degree
Additional qualifications in estates
5+ years’ experience within a similar environment
3+ years managing a team
