Job Summary:

RPO Recruitment is currently hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandise Allocator for our client in the retail industry. As a Merchandise Allocator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal merchandise allocation and inventory management to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

To allocate stock according to scientific and demographic criteria.
Ensuring optimal allocations based on units received and type of product to avoid over and under stocks in stores.
To replenish stock according to store sales.
To ensure stores do not run out of stock when stock is available.
To ensure stores are not over stocked.
To ensure stock is replenished timeously
To rectify uneven distribution of stock.
To ensure optimal sales by ensuring stock in the correct stores.
To ensure cost constraints are adhered to.
Identify stock that needs to be marked down / promoted / repriced.
Markdowns to be communicated to the relevant stores.

Qualifications:

Grade 12
3-5 years in an allocator role
Proficient in MS Office-Excel and Dolfin
Previous experience as a merchandise allocator in the retail industry.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in merchandise allocation software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
