Duties and Responsibilities

The Procurement Assistant is responsible for supporting the Group Procurement Manager with administrative business operations for the management and execution of procurement processes, functions, and system
Data capturing and analysis
Maintaining and administering Supplier Master Data
Conduct Supplier Risk Profiles and Bank Account Verification with verification agencies.
Maintaining and administering supplier data such as contract management, contract registers, sample registers etc
Review and inactivation of dormant suppliers and products on ERP system
Perform supplier master data audit report
Coordinate Credit Applications from all national DC’s and conduct reviews between requesting sites, suppliers, and legal review
Maintaining and administering Preferential Procurement (PP) data
Minute Taking of all procurement meetings and follow up on respective persons action plans
Perform general administrative functions for Group Procurement Manager


Minimum Grade 12
Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Procurement Management / Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a procurement administration function
Advanced knowledge of Supply chain & Procurement processes
Computer Literate and high level of Microsoft Excel proficiency
ERP: Sage Evolution experience – advantageous
Must have 2 years or more experience in data capturing and analysis
