Product / Key Account Manager – Chemical Raw Materials

A well-established chemical group requires the above to manage principals and key accounts within the chemical industrial manufacturing and water treatment markets.

Minimum requirements for the role:

A tertiary chemical qualification or a related qualification is preferred but not essential for the role.
Previous experience having worked as a Product or Key Accounts Manager calling on chemical manufacturing industries is essential for the role.
Previous experience working within the industrial chemical and water treatment industry is preferred but not essential.
Must have good negotiation skills.
Must be computer literate in MS Word and Excel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing principals and key accounts within the industrial chemical and water treatment manufacturing markets.
Participating and determining the strategy for driving product portfolio’s into the market.
Managing key accounts within the industrial chemical and water treatment markets.
Formulating strategy for marketing of products and services.
Meeting or exceeding sales budget targets.
Identifying needs of customers and developing product offering.
Providing market intelligence and sales presentations to senior management/
Compiling and analysing sales reports and formulating strategies.
Interacting and managing relationships with principles.
Actively managing stock levels and ensuring that stock on hand is of an acceptable level.
Proactively managing costing, margins management and price determination on a monthly basis.
Providing technical support to customers.
