POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the R&D Bakery Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:
Entire baking process: Preparation of ingredients, kneading and making the dough, rising and baking.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Baking Excellence
Be familiar with formulation, recipes, process, equipments.
Explore new ingredients in various Bakery applications.
Contribute to the development of new recipes and methods.
Report over the R&D development project all the characteristics associated with the baking test. Accuracy will be highly required.
 

Control of the Lab

Be responsible for the entire R&D Lab, insuring:
Maintenance of the existing equipment; installation of the new equipment: follow-up and maintenance of the equipment (first contract of supplier)
Maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for the team.

JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric and Diploma: Food Science;
Experience: > 3-5 years in Food sector (FMCG Market) preferable Bakery oriented;
Languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu will be advantageous;
Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
Other expertise: Business & result driven, presentation skill, strong interpersonal skills: passionate in bakery, accuracy and attention to details, team player.
