Refrigeration Technician – Coega – Port Elizabeth

RCL FOODS is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to perform skilled maintenance, installation, repair and inspection work on complex refrigeration equipment.

Minimum Requirements

Matric supplemented by an approved apprenticeship programme in industrial refrigeration
Authorized refrigeration practitioner Cat B Ammonia
Authorized refrigeration practitioner CAT B Transport Refrigeration
3 Years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial/truck refrigeration equipment.
Valid Code EB Driver’s license

Duties ’ Responsibilities

Planning of work according to the maintenance plan and schedule and per breakdown.
Maintenance and repair of all site-related equipment in accordance with the maintenance plan and schedule.
Render assistance to handyman on faults that cannot be solved on their level of required competence.
Daily inspection of all work completed on-site including site facilities and buildings.
Management, training, and development of maintenance handyman and technical assistant.
The discipline of maintenance handyman and technical assistant under direct control.
Issue daily job cards and inspect work executed.

Perform standby duties.

Ability to assist at other sites when required.
