Senior Specialist: Organisational Effectiveness – Johannesburg

Identify Transnet Property (TP) leadership needs and performance problem areas, in order to align the business strategy with its priorities, to improve processes and management effectiveness, and ultimately grow the business.
Drive Organisational Culture Transformation practices that promote integration, motivation and performance supported by an ethos of inclusiveness, integration, respect, drive and high performance.
Lead the implementation and execution of strategic and tactical programmes and initiatives within Transnet Property to enhance the Employee Experience and ensure that Transnet is an Employer of Choice in the Property ’ Asset Management industries
Employment Equity/Diversity and Inclusion Strategy: Develop and lead the implementation of a Transnet Corporate Centre’s Employment Equity/Diversity and Inclusion strategy, plans, programmes and initiatives. Play the Lead Specialist and Advisory role on interventions across the business on Employment Equity, Diversity and Inclusion matters.
Responsible for the development and execution of a structured approach to Change Management and Transformation which will enable (TP) to effectively define and manage business operations and outcomes, mitigate risks, assess organisational dynamics and develop the cultural agility that the organisation requires to deliver on its goals.
Drive the Employee Wellness agenda.

Position outputs:
Functional management
Drive the implementation and establishment of the Organisation Effectiveness agenda and focus areas within the Transnet
Property, namely:

Culture and Change Management
Employee Wellness
Transformation, Equity and Diversity
Lead the implementation and embedding of Transnet’s Culture and Engagement strategies and plans within the Transnet
Property, employing relevant Organisational Effectiveness best practice tools, models, processes and programmes.
Translate the Culture and Engagement Strategy into practical and pragmatic solutions for implementation across Transnet Property.
Lead the rollout of plans and programmes that are aimed at driving employee wellness at all levels across the Transnet Property.
In conjunction with HR Business Partners, ensure a coherent roll-out of appropriate programmes and initiatives that will ensure a harmonised Transnet culture that supports a high performance organisation
Design and implement TP leadership initiatives relating to culture/climate improvement that support the overall TP objective and encourage participation in all employee experience processes and oversee related projects by conducting continuous pulse surveys, reporting thereof and the interpretation of outcomes into recommended programs
Champion the change management practice by guiding, educating and coaching executives, leaders and employees at all levels on organisational change management strategies and techniques to most effectively deliver a comprehensive and sustained change. All projects will ensure organisational compliance, adequate risk management and sustainable governance as it relates to human resources in the organisations.
Monitor, report and oversee implementation and TP-wide compliance with the Change Management, Wellness and Employment Equity strategies and roadmap. Compile periodic reports to the various stakeholder and governance bodies, including Department of Employment and Labour.
Develop appropriate metrics, conduct analytics and insights relating to employment equity, diversity and inclusion to inform appropriate decision making across TP.
Provide expert advice and support to the Executive Team and management on a range of health and wellness challenges and interventions in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
Proactively manage occupational health, absenteeism and employee incapacity in line with legislative framework and Transnet policies.
Facilitate the integration of the EAP and Wellness programme with the Culture and Change function and provide a change expertise on all the Transnet Property Wellness projects.

Stakeholder relations management

Engage all key stakeholders on an ongoing basis, and build trusted and valuable partnerships to establish sound relationships
Collaborate with, and build solid relationships with key stakeholders and other functional areas to enable insight, understanding and effective functioning

People management

Coach, mentor and develop employees as required

Qualifications ’ Experience:

B-Degree in Behavioural Science /Organisational Development/ Industrial Psychology or equivalent Post graduate qualification in Behavioural Economics/Business Management/Social Sciences or other relevant will be an advantage
At least 08 – 10 years’ experience in People Management, specialising in organisational development and culture transformation, of which at least 3 years at a managerial level
Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19
