Snr Accounts Clerk – Bloemfontein

The Snr Accounts Clerk is responsible for debtors, the cashbook, asset register, general administration and to assist the Financial Manager with tasks as and when required.

Minimum Requirements

Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
Tertiary qualification in accounting would be advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience.
Competent in Math and Accounting.
Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Valid driving licence.
Good knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and procedures.
Accurate reporting skills.
Basic administrative skills.
Excellent communications skills at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Trustworthy, consistent, and meticulous.
Ability to work under pressure.
Availability to work flexible hours and overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

Processing of Sales invoices and communicating to customers.
Communicating account statements to customers.
Update of debtors master data on accounting system.
Communication with credit insurance on new and existing customers.
Performing the Debtors control reconciliation on a Monthly basis.


Processing of Cashbook entries
Performing the Bank reconciliation on a Monthly basis.

Asset register

Maintaining the asset register (Processing of additions, disposals, etc).
Performance and coordination of regular physical asset verifications.
Assist the Finance team with vehicle licencing management.
Submission and finalisation of insurance claims.


Assist the Financial Manager with month end and year end reporting requirements.
Assist the Financial Manager with budget process.
Assist the Financial Manager with audit queries.
