Description

Driving and carrying out regular maintenance and repairs of tractors and other farm implements.
Operating tractors safely and efficiently.
Performing inspections of tractors and attachments like graders, rollers, and plows, and ensuring they are well-lubricated.
Using tractors to transport materials and pull or push agricultural equipment.
Prepare fields for planting.
Harvest vegetables by hand or machinery.
Apply pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers to crops.
nform Farm Manager on progress of crops.
Operate farm equipment to spray pesticides on weeds along roadside and perimeter of fields to keep weeds down.
Slashing grass along roads and water ways
Grading roads o Assists with all farming activities as requested by the farm manager
Irrigation
Loading and Off-loading of seed
Assist with cleaning of Parent Seed
Maintain garden around the Office building
Assist Production with rogueing on onions during active growth and flowering.

Requirements

Matric
Tractor Drivers License
Experience in farm equipment and the farm industry
Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment.
Experience performing maintenance on tractors and other farming equipment.
