To facilitate, implement and maintain effective systems for workforce planning, talent acquisition, on-boarding, performance management and succession planning to transform Rand Water’s employee profile in line with regulatory requirements

Minimum Requirements

Applications must be in possession of a National Diploma/ Degree in Social Sciences/ Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology
Knowledge of data analytics and metrics would be advantageous.
HR Practitioner or any category of Registration as a Psychometrist professional registration with the South African Board of people Practices (SABPP) will be an advantage.
5years’ relevant experience in Talent Management recruitment and selection, performance management, succession planning, induction (on boarding) and talent retention.

Primary Duties

Ensure effective recruitment, selection, and retention of high calibre staff in order to meet the operational and strategic objectives.
Influence recruitment decisions and employment practices at site
Determine the recruitment budgetary requirement in line with site needs.
Ensure legal and fair staffing processes and decisions are in accordance with current legislation and diversity objectives.
Enhance the site’s internal and external image as a preferred employer.
Facilitate the Hay Job Evaluation systems’ requirements from a site point of view.
Implement and monitor the performance management system at site level.
Ensure effective implementation and administration of a succession planning system.
Conduct competency-based assessments in line with inherent job requirements
Conduct and maintain an effective induction, socialisation and exit interview processes.
Collate statistical data relating to talent management to support talent management initiative.
Maintain strategic business partnership to enhance HR relations across the business units.


Sound knowledge of Recruitment and Selection; Performance Management; Job evaluation and Succession planning principles.
