Job Description

Responsible for leading the end-to-end training and development functions of GWK, this includes organisational development interventions focused on performance management optimization and employee recognition, delivering a professional service to key stakeholders in terms of leadership development, organizational maturity development, learning, and cultural initiatives that maximize return on our human capital.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology with preference given to an Honours Degree
Working knowledge of the Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and familiarity with the activities of SETA’s and the QCTO
Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Valid Code B drivers’ licence – travelling will be necessary.
Professional Registration: SABPP will be serve as recommendation.
Knowledge of Sage 300: PEOPLE will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage GWK’s training and development portfolio, in terms of policy, procedure, process and control, including reporting, Skills Development element on the BBBEE scorecard and legal requirements.
Plan and coordinate GWK's training and development strategies based on the yearly training and development needs analysis as well as relevant administration.
Provide employees with career development guidance and assist with personal development plans (PDP’s) and career paths.
Manage the internal bursary scheme.
Continuous development and revision of training programmes to assist GWK’s divisions in achieving their WSP and ATR targets.
Compilation of WSP's for GWK to ensure compliance to the relevant SETA's prerequisites.
Selection, placement, and management of apprentices/interns/graduates within GWK
Coordination of SETA funding on an ongoing basis.
Managing the business unit’s budget and assets.
Stay abreast with new training interventions/ technology, keeping GWK’s learning and development fresh, rewarding, and relevant.
