Manager – Transport Business Planning and Development

Requirements

  •  Relevant Bachelors Degree such as Transport Economics, Business Administration, Finance or Transport Planning
  •  Extensive Managerial Experience
  •  5-10 years’ in large scale business development and planning environment

Key Performance Areas

  •  Initiate, establish and lead the business development and planning aspects of the Urban Mobility Directorate by managing a multitude of processes, including undertaking strategic business analysis, development of business plans and related programming for major projects and programmes falling under the auspices of Urban Mobility
  •  Manage the cyclical review of business plans, monitoring, strategising and adapting to changes and eventualities to meet targets and develop the process of providing an efficient, integrated, intermodal and interoperable public transport service to customers
  •  Develop the business parameters and long term business planning for major projects and programmes that the Urban Mobility Directorate undertakes, ensuring that the objectives of the initiatives are realised within the context of the financial parameters, the City's vision and the Directorate’s objectives and related By-laws
  •  Undertake scenario planning for proposed major investments, assessing and recommending the parameters for such investment that will leverage sustainable opportunities for all public transport modes as well as benefits for the community.
